The Norwich Sea Captains are proud to announce that Jenn Tirillo has joined the organization as the team’s Director of Sports Performance. Tirillo will be a fantastic resource for the program as the team begins their inaugural season in the North American 3 Hockey League. She brings a wealth of experience as a certified athletic trainer, strength coach, yoga instructor and performance coach. Tirillo owns and runs Concentric Care LLC based in Newington, CT. Her business aims to help her clients take control of their personal heath, wellness and athletic performance.
“The hockey community has been incredibly welcoming to me over the years that I have been providing sport medicine care. I am excited to play a role in the success of the Sea Captains’ inaugural season by providing strategies and support aimed at injury prevention and programming for each athlete’s wellness,” commented Tirillo.
Head coach Kevin Cunningham added, “We are extremely fortunate to add a professional with JT’s experience and expertise, particularly in hockey. I have had the great fortune to work with her in the past and see the positive impact that she can have on a junior hockey program and its players. Our players will benefit tremendously as a result of the addition of JT to our staff.”
The Sea Captains open their inaugural season Saturday and Sunday, September 25 and 26 when they travel to Long Beach, NY to take on the Sharks. They will open the home portion of their slate at the RoseGarden Ice Arena on Saturday, October 2 when Norwich will host the Bay State Bobcats. The team is looking for billet families interested in hosting some of our players for the season.
