Sea Captains Blanked by Danbury

Dec 14, 2022

The Norwich Sea Captains fell to the Danbury Jr Hat Tricks 2-0 on Sunday evening, December 11 in North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) action at Danbury Arena. Despite a 32 to 25 shot advantage the Sea Captains offense could not get a puck past the Danbury goaltender. Brendan Pellerito played well in the Norwich net making 23 saves. The second Danbury goal was scored with Pellerito pulled for the extra attacker.

“Our effort tonight would be enough to win most nights, but it was not tonight. Danbury’s goaltender played well. I felt that we could have tested him more, but he did what he had to do to help his team earn the win. We will clean up a few areas of our game for Wednesday and look to bounce back,” commented Norwich Head Coach Kevin Cunningham.

The two teams meet again on Wednesday afternoon, December 14 at noon at the RoseGarden Ice Arena. Tickets are available HERE. Tickets to all remaining Sea Captains home games are 50% percent off from now until Christmas Day, so get yours soon!
