The Norwich Sea Captains are thrilled to announce that the team has acquired defenseman Jameson Bain from the Danbury Jr Hat Tricks in exchange for cash considerations. The Longmont, CO native will be entering his second season in the North American 3 Hockey League in September. Last year he skated in 33 contests for Danbury tallying three assists and six penalty minutes. The 2021 graduate of Longmont High School played for the Resurrection Christian Cougars in the Colorado High School Activities Association. During his junior season he notched an assist and 28 penalty minutes in seventeen games for the Cougars.
Bain commented on his excitement about playing in Norwich saying, “I am looking forward to a return to normal season and having a good year. I am very excited about being a part of this organization because we have a great staff and I will be surrounded by people who will help me get better every day.”
“I am very excited about being able to get Jameson here in Norwich. He has a true love for the game of hockey as well as a sincere desire to maximize his potential both on and off the ice. Jamo worked extremely hard last year and improved as much as anyone on our roster. He earned the respect of our coaching staff and all of his teammates for his dedication to the team and his development. I anticipate him taking on an expanded role this year and helping some of our players who will be making the jump to junior hockey adjust to the NA3HL.” offered head coach Kevin Cunningham.
The Norwich Sea Captains are the NA3HL’s newest team. The team will open their inaugural regular season on the road against the Long Beach Sharks on Saturday and Sunday, September 25 and 26 before they host the Bay State Bobcats for their home opener on Saturday, October 2 at the RoseGarden Ice Arena. Season ticket information will be available on Monday, August 30 on our website and social media accounts.
