The Norwich Sea Captains of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are pleased to announce the signing of 2004 goaltender Presley Patrin. The 2022 graduate of Milaca (MN) High School is a native of the Land of 10.000 Lakes, having grown up in Milaca, MN. Patrin was the starting goaltender for the Mora/Milaca Mustangs high school team last season. He put up impressive numbers playing in every game and compiling a 18-6-2 record as well as a 2.67 goals against average and a .875 save percentage in 26 games. The Mustangs fell in the Minnesota State High School League Section 5A Quarterfinals. Patrin also recorded five shoutouts on the season. He made two appearances in the Mustangs’ cage as an underclassman earning two additional wins to total 20 career victories.
“I was super excited when Coach (Kevin) Cunningham reached out to me with his interest in having me on the team. I have always wanted to play junior hockey and the opportunity to play in a different part of the country was a no-brainer. I am looking forward to my first year of junior hockey and playing for such a great organization,” commented Patrin.
Coach Cunningham offered, “Presley is a great fit for us here in Norwich; he is talented goaltender who was relied upon heavily by his high school team last season and he delivered for his teammates. He has a strong foundation of skills and the work ethic to keep improving at the junior level. I fully expect Presley to contribute to our successes this season and continue his development. I am thrilled that he will be a Sea Captain!”
The Sea Captains open their second campaign in Norwich on Friday, September 23 and Saturday, September 24 when they host the New Jersey Titans at the RoseGarden Ice Arena. Season tickets are on sale HERE and individual game tickets are available HERE.
