The Norwich Sea Captains are seeking billet families for the 2022-23 hockey season. The Sea Captains are members of the North American 3 Hockey League, a league for young men ages 16 to 20 where they are able to train and compete in an intensive environment to prepare for college hockey. The team will practice and play their home games at the RoseGarden Ice Arena in Norwich, CT.
Our players come from all over the United States, Canada, and overseas. The organization is actively seeking billet families who are willing to provide these players with a home away from home during their time in the Norwich area. The season will begin in early September and will run through mid to late March, depending on our playoffs. Players will go home for a break around the holiday season.
What does a billet family need to provide?
A clean, comfortable bedroom
Nutritious meals and snacks
Wifi access (many of our players are enrolled in high school or college classes)
Players are responsible for their own transportation. We typically like to have billet homes within a thirty minute drive of the arena, but we would like to hear from all interested families.
What do billet families get?
